About Me

I am a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS). I earned my Master of Science degree from NUS and completed my Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering at Beijing Jiaotong University. I work at the intersection of digital twins, generative AI, and autonomous manufacturing. My research develops intelligent manufacturing systems that combine Large Language Models (LLMs), Vision Language Models (VLMs), Knowledge Graphs, and reinforcement learning to support process understanding, decision-making, and human-centric automation.

I’m under the supervision of Prof. Jerry Fuh Ying SHI and Prof. Wen Feng LU from NUS and Prof. Bingbing Li from CSUN & UCLA. I’m also under the supervision of Dr. Edward Chow and Dr. Thomas T Lu at NASA JPL. Our group has also established collaborations with leading universities and agencies such as UCLA, the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Jönköping University, Cranfield University, and NASA JPL, as well as with industry partners including NVIDIA, Autodesk, and Renishaw.

My recent work focuses on LLM/VLM-enabled digital twins, autonomous additive manufacturing, and knowledge-driven human-machine collaboration. I am particularly interested in building manufacturing systems that can reason from multimodal data, adapt to changing process conditions, and support engineers in complex decision-making. I am actively seeking collaborative opportunities with researchers and institutions worldwide.

I have actively served as a reviewer for over 270 journal and conference papers, including those submitted to Engineering, Journal of Manufacturing Systems, Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing, Advanced Engineering Informatics, Expert Systems with Applications, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge-Based Systems, Additive Manufacturing, Scientific Reports, Computers & Electrical Engineering, and ASME IDETC-CIE, demonstrating my academic influence and professional recognition in the fields of artificial intelligence and smart manufacturing.

“Engineering intelligence into every layer of manufacturing.”
